LIQUID PARAFFIN+MILK OF MAGNESIA+SODIUM PICOSULFATE belongs to the group of medicines called laxatives used to treat constipation associated with piles, anal fissure, hernia, cardiovascular disorder, endoscopy, bowel clearance before radioscopy, pre/post-operative conditions, elderly and bed-ridden patients. Constipation refers to infrequent bowel movements in which the stools are often dry, painful, and hard to pass.

Liquid paraffin present in LIQUID PARAFFIN+MILK OF MAGNESIA+SODIUM PICOSULFATE is a lubricant that works by lubricating the bowels and softens the stools. Milk of magnesia is a naturally occurring component that reduces the stomach's acid amount and increases the water content in the intestine that causes easy bowel movements. While Sodium picosulfate present in LIQUID PARAFFIN+MILK OF MAGNESIA+SODIUM PICOSULFATE works by increasing the muscle's movement so that waste can be easily passed through the body. An individual taking LIQUID PARAFFIN+MILK OF MAGNESIA+SODIUM PICOSULFATE can see results within 6-12 hours. 

Directions for Use

You can take LIQUID PARAFFIN+MILK OF MAGNESIA+SODIUM PICOSULFATE with or without food. Do not take LIQUID PARAFFIN+MILK OF MAGNESIA+SODIUM PICOSULFATE if you are allergic to any of its contents, if you have/had acute abdominal surgery, intestinal obstruction, or undiagnosed abdominal pain. Drink plenty of fluids (at least 6-8 glasses) while taking LIQUID PARAFFIN+MILK OF MAGNESIA+SODIUM PICOSULFATE. Do not take LIQUID PARAFFIN+MILK OF MAGNESIA+SODIUM PICOSULFATE for more than a week as it might cause dependency on LIQUID PARAFFIN+MILK OF MAGNESIA+SODIUM PICOSULFATE for a bowel movement. Talk to your doctor if you notice any sudden changes in bowel habits that persist for over 2 weeks. Consult your doctor before taking LIQUID PARAFFIN+MILK OF MAGNESIA+SODIUM PICOSULFATE if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.  LIQUID PARAFFIN+MILK OF MAGNESIA+SODIUM PICOSULFATE may have interaction with various medications, including, an antibiotic (tetracycline), diuretics (furosemide), and steroids (prednisolone).

Drug-Disease Interaction:

LIQUID PARAFFIN+MILK OF MAGNESIA+SODIUM PICOSULFATE may interact with intestinal obstruction disorder, appendicitis, intestinal blockage, and bowel inflammation.

PREGNANCY
